Atlantic Prevention Resources has provided this proclaimed, evidence- based program to families throughout Atlantic County for nearly 30y years. Seven (7) current staff are trained in the 10-14 and 6-11 curriculums and have years of facilitating the program. Transportation, a family meal, child care and incentives for participation and completion all add to the popularity of this program. Parents and youth meet in separate groups for the first hour and together as families during the second hour to practice skills, play games, and do family projects. Sessions are highly interactive and include role-playing, discussions, learning games, and family projects. The program shows positive outcomes in the following areas:

- Decreased youth depression

PreVenture

Marijuana and Over the Counter (OTC) Programs
Atlantic Prevention Resources (APR) utilizes a newly created curriculum to provide up to date information on marijuana law, OTC’s, increased availability and its impact on youth. The programs are tailored for youth, adults and senior adults.
APR provides education on best practices in public health policies and is available to schools and municipalities to create policies and ordinances.
